Resolution acknowledging that School Board Members have received and exceeded the six hours of mandated training.
First reading of revision to Policy 4.18 – Complaint Procedures.
Second reading and adoption of Policy 4.09 – School Breastfeeding Policy for Employees.
Proposal of $299,180.28 from AT&T for internet access and wide area network connection.
Bid authorization request for child nutrition program food, supplies, and equipment.
Request for proposals for child nutrition program contracted pizza delivery service.
Low bid of an estimated $332,500 from Mansfield Oil Company for unleaded fuel.
Low bid of an estimated $567,500 from Mansfield Oil Company for diesel fuel.
Deference of selection of health insurance carrier until the March School Board Meeting.
Renewal of dental insurance from Humana.
Resolution requesting the Louisiana Department of Education release student information that would allow school districts to verify charter school enrollments.

Recognition
The St. Charles Public Schools Foundation awarded grants to 14 school system teachers.
The St. Charles Public Schools Foundation awarded funding to four middle schools to purchase books.
The St. Charles Public Schools Foundation awarded funding to four teachers participating in the teacher apprenticeship program.
School Board Member Ellis Alexander and Chief Financial Officer and Legislative Liaison James Melohn were awarded the Friends of Public Education Award at the Annual Louisiana School Board Convention.
A Hahnville High School student is an Individual State Wrestling Champion.
Eight school system students placed first at the Region 10 Social Studies Fair.
Two school system students were selected for the American Choral Directors Association’s All-State Honor Choir.
Forty high school students were selected for the Louisiana Music Educators Association’s District VII Honor Choir.
Two school system employees were recognized at the Louisiana Association of Computer Using Educators Conference.
Destrehan High School Robotics Team received a $5,000 Monsanto Fund Grant.

Superintendent’s Report
· On March 1, tenth and 11th graders will be in testing.
· Kindergarten registration will be held on March 14-18.
· Destrehan Boys Soccer Team is second in district and made it to the second round of the playoffs.
· Hahnville High School Wrestling was crowned district champions.
· Destrehan Lady Wildcats Basketball Team finished as district champions and is currently in the quarterfinals of the playoffs.
· Staff Achievement nomination forms may be submitted until March 21.
· The Annual Arts Awareness Festival will be held on March 12 at the Professional Learning Center.
· Daylight savings time begins March 13.
