#SIChallenge: Weather-based Insurance to Help Thai farmers


Global Agricultural Insurance for All (GAIA), proposed by students from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, aims to develop parametric weather-based insurance to shield farmers in Thailand from the impacts of climate change on farming outputs and revenue flows.

Each year, Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and Morgan Stanley’s Institute for Sustainable Investing present the Morgan Stanley Sustainable Investing Challenge. This year, 10 finalist teams were chosen to pitch their investment proposals in Hong Kong on April 15.
