Yes, you can get car insurance coverage for your vehicle even if you do NOT have a drivers license, or if it is revoked, suspended or if you have a foreign drivers license, here’s how..

  1. Hey what's up , you have a great informative channel….I like the topics you cover. …your right about the car insurance….Once you have a learner permit …the insurance company will cover you. ..but I believe if you were to select the other option…revoked..suspended..ect…then the system will not allow you to have a policy number. in other words you need to have a valid driving" privilege"..such as a driver license or a driver permit".. in order to get coverage. .. and those rates are good compared to here in NYC. :(…expensive rates here…even if you never had an accident.

  2. I want to thank you for this video!  I was able to get insurance on an expired license, which wont be reinstated until I fulfill the year interlock requirement.  I was in a bit of a pickle..I can't fulfill my 1 year interlock without having insurance on my car, but was having a hard time finding insurance.  I went on to progressive and got 6 months of coverage with no issue..and my rate was only 55 bucks a month.  There are definitely situations where the DMV clears you to drive, but the computer system says your license is expired until you fulfill your obligation..and if that happens to you, go to progressive or Geiko.  They didn't ask any questions..your rate is based on your driving history and record etc.  You select your driver's license status in the drop down and that's about it.  Since I haven't driven in 5 years {just didn't need a car until now}, my record is very clean…so my rate is probably about 20 bucks higher than it will be once my license is reinstated in the system.  That's not bad at all.

  3. here's what progressive online had to say when I typed in No License… ~We are currently unable to provide an online quote because your primary driver does not possess a valid license. Please contact one of our insurance counselors at 1-877-776-4266 to complete your quote.

  4. What if you do not have as license or permit and do not plan on getting a license under the "Right To Free Travel – attached to the Right to Life Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness" clause in the Declaration of Independence? Can you still get insurance?

  5. THANK YOU FOR THE INFORMATION. PS It would be easier to concentrate on what you are saying if you would step back 6 feet back from the camera and wore a . . .I don't know a sombrero or something.
